Photos of Imam Khomeini on display at Tehran exhibition

TEHRAN – An exhibition displaying a collection of rarely seen photos of Imam Khomeini, the founder of Islamic Republic, opened on Monday in Tehran at the Iranian Photographers Center (IPC).

The collection is composed of 114 photos from his late teens until his death, IPC director Ehsan Baqeri told the Persian service of MNA.

The photos have been selected from collections from the Institute for the Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works and the IPC.

The photos have been taken by As’ad Naqshbandi, Mahmud Kalari, Hossein Partovi, Yadollah Vaziri, Seifollah Samadian, Ebrahim Shateri, Ali Fereiduni, Ahmad Nateqi, Ali Shah-Hatami, Saeid Sadeqi and several other photographers.

“We tried to accumulate a collection of rarely seen photos that cover various aspects of Imam Khomeini’s life,” Baqeri said.

The exhibition will run until July 11 at the IPC located on the western end of Somayyeh Street.
